Ko Ngaire Anne Kauika-Stevens taku ingoa.

I was born in Taihape raised by my grandparents Paora (Paul) & Rongokino (Alice) Hekenui on the whanau farm at Turangarere. I am the eldest of ten children to my parents David Steedman and Rangituohu Hekenui. I have two daughters with my Nga Rauru ki Tahi husband and six mokopuna and we live on the papakainga at Takirau Marae in the Waitotara Valley.

My philosophy in life is to ensure that our children and grandchildren know who they are and where they are from and more importantly they have a relationship with all their Marae. Whakapapa, whenua and whanau are key to our legacy and I am committed to ensure this is maintained.

I bring to the Trust my knowledge and experience as well as my ability to think outside the box to highlight opportunities. I have diversified management and operational knowledge with an all-embracing experience of governance roles and responsibilities.
I look forward to contributing to the growth and economic development of our whenua on behalf of the owners. Thank you for the opportunity.
